Shoot 13: Leah @ Gastown East

What: 90 minute shoot
Where: Gastown East Google Maps Location
Who: Leah Bancroft
Why: Fun shots

Leah and I headed on over to Gastown, north east of the city core. Walk east on any street above Hastings and you'll be sure to run into a local landmark, Gassy Jack. Do not walk east on Hastings or else you will fall into a very unfcomfortable hell that is quite common in this area of Hastings; do not walk east on any street above Water street, or you will be walking in the ocean. Gastown's main attraction is it's cobble and brick sidewalks and streets. The soft reddish grey stonage make the area feel quite old fashioned and somehow, still modern. The buildings do not lack for interesting metal latticework to use as backdrops, and the sun, when it does peek through the buildings shoots shadows through them everywhere. We only investigated a few behind-the-scenes areas but I am sure there are a ton more to explore. I will most definitely be returning to Gastown East, perhaps a bit closer to Hastings next time just for a bit of excitement, and muggery.

What did I learn?
Heavy shadows on women make them look like monsters. Having shadows be cast on them from bars/latticework is generally a bad idea if it hides the eyes.
An interesting walkway usually leads to an interesting space, follow them, and do not be so afraid of future muggery.
Leah does in fact, like Conan the Barbarian; but that fact will not make her more likely to give a man money.
