What: 20 minute photo excursion trying to capture the last of the day's light
Where: Under the Burrard bridge
Who: Brian Vidovic and Julianna Kolakis
Why: Just for fun
We went around the underbelly of the Burrard Bridge looking for cool light effects of the fleeting sunset. It was a really short shoot because J&B had somewhere to be. I kept it moving pretty fast and took a ton of shots that I knew would be unusable for the sake of getting a ton of variance I could play around with later.
What did I learn?
White people look yellow in evening light.
Patterned shadows change how I look at a face in pictures, much more than it does in real life.
Asking a couple to act romantic makes everyone involved feel awkward, just let it happen naturally.
People with high self esteem who are willing to take a chance and look silly are great to take photos of.
Women can put on perfect make up in three minutes; the ones that take an hour really ARE crazy.
